Engage Our World
Our missions philosophy and burden is a combination of the Great Commandment (Matthew 22:37-39) and the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19). We believe that God calls the local church to be a global church. With that in mind, we partner with missionaries and families who are passionate about taking the gospel to all nations.
We send mission teams to Panama and Madagascar each year.
In 2014, Southbridge sent out Josh and Stephanie Tovey to plant Redemption Church in Grandville, Michigan. Redemption Church is focused on spreading the gospel and connecting people to Jesus for life change in Michigan.
Southbridge supports multiple church plants who share our mission. Our desires is to see gospel-centered churches reaching and impacting their cities for the glory of God.
Matt and Misty Hedspeth founded Heart's Cry Children's Ministry in Panama to see God lift orphans out of the pit of despair and give them a firm place to stand. They consult with foreign governments to streamline adoption processes and simplify their efforts in placing children into loving forever homes. They are building the country's first special needs orphanage, Casa Providencia.
Southbridge regularly sends mission teams to Panama to serve at the local orphanages and assist with construction at Casa Providencia.
Working with Compassion International, we've chosen to sponsor children from the country of Bolivia. Our desire was to come together as a church to have a great impact on the children in that region.
Grant and Jodie Waller are serving the Lord in Tulear, Madagascar as church planters among the southern tribes through the International Mission Board (IMB). Each year Southbridge sends a team to support the Waller family and spread the gospel among the people of Madagascar.
Nathan and Tessa are also serving the Lord in Tulear, Madagascar as church planters among the southern tribes. Southbridge supports them as well as missionaries and ambassadors of our people sent out to spread the gospel among the people of Madagascar.
