What is Bridge Kids?
Uniquely designed with your child in mind, our mission is to connect your child to Jesus for life change! We utilize The Gospel Project curriculum to help connect your child each week to Jesus. The Gospel Project is a three-year chronological study through the Bible that connects each story to the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
While we work towards our mission, we know that you are your child’s biggest spiritual influence. That’s a tough job, steeped with responsibility. This is why we desire to partner with you!
Imagine the impact on our children when the church and the family work together.
From start to finish, we strive to make your child’s time with us a great experience by providing safe, age-appropriate environments where children discover the big picture of God’s story.
What to Expect
When you arrive at Southbridge, look for the designated area for first time Bridge Kids families. We will meet your family and check your child into our secure database system, to ensure the security of your child. Once your family is checked in, a volunteer will show you to the age appropriate room for your child.
You and your child will be given matching identification tags that are exclusive to your family and your visit.
For Summer of 2017, Bridge Kids’ 4th and 5th grade class will be meeting during second service only. We want to provide them a time to learn about Jesus in a fun, relational and exciting way. If you choose to come to first service, please plan for your 4th and/or 5th grader to attend with you during the summer months.
What Do Bridge Kids Experience?
- An age-appropriate time of Bible learning that shows how Christ fits into the entire gospel story, pre-creation to eternity. And where each one of us fits into it, too.
- An age-appropriate and directed play, activity and craft time that encourages the seed of God’s Word to grow in his/her heart.
- Worship and music on a child’s level of understanding and enjoyment.
- Parent resources to encourage family involvement and interaction around their Bible learning.
- Committed volunteer team members with a desire to serve, who have undergone background checks, and who receive ongoing training.
New Baby Ministry
We schedule visits for families with new babies to provide prayer and support for them. If you, or someone you know in the church, is due to have a baby or adopt in the coming months, please let us know.
Nursery: Birth-30 Months
Bridge Kids’ aims to provide the best experience for your infant or toddler. We provide a clean, healthy, and loving environment to make you feel at ease after dropping off your baby.
Pre-K: Ages 2-5
In our Pre-K environment, we want preschoolers to learn the “grand narrative” of the whole Bible. Every Sunday provides opportunities for kids to connect each Bible story to Christ and begin to understand that the whole Bible is the gospel! Preschoolers may not always understand the total significance of the Christ connection, but each session will lay the foundation so God’s Spirit can ultimately lead each child into a personal relationship with Jesus.
We invite kids to a new understanding of how to grow in a relationship with Jesus. Before your child leaves the 5th grade, we want them to understand that the Gospel is not just the first four books in the New Testament, rather the Gospel is the entire Bible pointing to God’s redemptive plan through Jesus Christ. We use small group and large group corporate worship time to connect your child to Jesus each and every Sunday.
For Summer of 2017, Bridge Kids' 4th and 5th grade class will be meeting during second service only. If you choose to come to first service, please plan for your 4th and/or 5th grader to attend with you during the summer months.
We have many families that serve one service and worship one service. That means that their children are in Bridge Kids for two services. To help “make it fun”, we’ve created The Clubhouse. This second service only ministry allows children to hang out, build relationships, play games, and serve. Four to five year olds up through 5th grade children are eligible to participate. The Clubhouse is a big hit with kids and parents!
