Trip to Madagascar - August 11th to 21st

Southbridge Fellowship is the home church for Grant & Jodie Waller, serving the Lord among the Mahafaly in Madagascar. They have requested that Southbridge provide a small team to come in August to assist with a spiritual retreat and training sessions for themselves, their fellow missionaries, and their children (approximately 25 people total).

Southbridge has decided to send a team with the following objectives:

• Provide support for the retreat and encouragement to the Wallers and the other missionaries serving in Madagascar.
• Gain a better understanding of how Southbridge can assist the Wallers in connecting the Mahafaly to Jesus for life-change,
• Use this trip as a means of discipleship for the members of the Body and leadership development, and
• Use this trip as a model for future trips and a means of documenting Southbridge's short-term trip policies and processes.

The current plan is for Southbridge to send a small team of 6 or 7 people and will run from approximately August 11th to 21st. The team will do the teaching for the missionaries, lead worship, and care for and teach the children. The remaining days will involve one-on-one time with the Wallers for planning and encouragement.

Estimated cost for this trip is highly dependent on airfare and support needed could run from $3500 - $4000.
