About Fearless: Christ’s desire for men is clear and it is unique, including His desire for us to be the spiritual head of the household. Yet we are challenged by false images of manhood in pop culture, sports, business, and other areas of a masculine life that communicate strength, resilience, and success. These popular examples create pressure and guilt that many men feel they must pursue. Fearless exists to speak truth to men by encouraging them to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. We also exist so men can encourage each other, as scripture calls us to do so.
Early in scripture, God commands Noah:
“And from each man, too, I will demand an accounting for the life of his fellow man.” (Genesis 9:5)
This is reinforced elsewhere in scripture:
“As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” (Proverbs 27:17)
Vision of Fearless: To create a place where men can form authentic relationships with other men to connect to Jesus for life change.
Mission of Fearless: We intend to build a community of disciples and disciple-makers – men who love, serve, support, and train others to the glory of God. We will enable this community by offering:
• Scripturally-based teachings on practical, relevant topics (marriage, work, parenting, addictions, etc.)
• Opportunities to develop closer relationships with other Christian men (including Men’s Small Groups/MSG and mentoring-discipleship)
• Service/outreach opportunities
• Social opportunities that allow time for men to just be guys!
• Organized sports (softball, soccer, etc.)
